Featuring performances from magician Collins Key, as well as incredible girl groups 5th Harmony and Little Mix. It was a teen girls fantasy, the dreamy Collins Key doing not so crazy and overdone magic tricks, the powerful voices of Fifth Harmony and Little Mix, and the mind-blowing show by Demi Lovato as well. Collins Key may be a hot young magician, but all of his tricks were simple, predictable, and overdone. However, he did do an incredible job firing up the crowd and was quite entertaining. Then Fifth Harmony took the stage for a short set filled with incredible vocals and smooth choreography. After Fifth Harmony came Little Mix, an incredible female group with vocals that just would not quit, back up dancers that were very well trained, and great music as well. The music in between the acts and before the show was provided by Cole Plante who did an incredible job entertaining and energizing the crowd. Finally, Demi Lovato took the stage for a set that gave the name "Neon Lights" a whole new meaning. Of all the acts I've seen live, Demi Lovato had one of the best light shows with her music. Her vocals were flawless, her band was excellent, and she wasn't showing off her half naked body like certain other Disney stars have been doing lately. Overall, aside from the fact that Fifth Harmony and Little Mix were exposing a little too much skin (something that I was hoping not to see at a kids show like this), the show was one of the better ones I've seen. I'm granting Demi Lovato on her "Neon Lights" tour an 8.5/10. It was definitely a show that I would pay to see again, and perfect for the age group it was advertised too, but the low end magic and over exposed bodies of the performers was fairly disappointing. I'm anxious to see what Demi does next, and chances are, if she comes back to Omaha, I'll be there! Concert Rating: 8.5/10 Keep up with Demi and the "Neon Lights" tour here! |
